Production Manager

Qualifications15-20 years' experience in plant operation and cable manufacturing process specifically in the Cable Industry.Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering in the cable manufacturing line.Understanding the practice of Lean Principles and techniques and willingness to expand knowledge, minimum NEW L2 qualified, L3 level preferred.ResponsibilitiesTo lead the team of Engineers, Foreman, Supervisors & operators working under production department ensuring overall plant output & utilization to reach yearly business targets & goals, along with product safety, quality, reliability & delivery in time thereby meeting customer expectation & satisfaction.Attain production performance objective & target by leading the production team for maximizing the productivity %, minimizing the hold product(rework) & rejection ( scrap), Optimum material consumption on day to day basis through the means of continual improvementLead the whole production team in line with environment & safety objectives of the company resulting best & ideal environmental & safety performance.Coordinate with Supply Chain & Logistics department thereby ensuring issuance of the Job card to various machines for production.Ensure all the raw materials are available to perform regular production operation at various machines on daily basis.Monitor the production & ensure proper implementation of corrective & preventive action for the Hold In process products for disposition action in accordance with quality system.Coordinate with QC department for analyzing the non-conformance product, whether the product is rejected due to process related issue, raw material related issue, machinery related issue or lack of stillness at work by operator.Follow up the production team for continuous process monitoring at the machine to eliminate Hold product & rejections. To ensure all the production team are aware of optimum material consumption without over usage & to control the scrap generation at various machinesEnsure timely procurement of new tooling, production consumables, personnel protective equipment, measuring instruments, stationery items pertaining to production department & verifying its condition from time to time.Review raw material & packaging material stock time to time & give feedback to supply chain & logistics department for procurementAssist plant manager as & when required.Ensure entire production team follow all environment rules, regulations & guidelines.Ensure entire production team follow safety rules, regulations & guidelines. To ensure the segregation of hazardous & nonhazardous materials are properly separated by using the scrap & disposal bins.Coordinate with environment & safety officer for analyzing the incidents, near miss in order to execute corrective & preventive actions.Ensure all the measuring instruments are properly calibrated.Motivate production team for good housekeeping on machines & to follow up the same.Ensure production process are executed at various machines as per quality system. To review production procedure, work instruction of machineries as & when arises.Ensure planned preventive maintenance are executed in coordination with maintenance department.#J-18808-Ljbffr
