Job Description

POWERTECH is a center of excellence for propulsion technologies, specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of combustion engines, expendable turbojet engines, and turbofan engines for a wide range of aerospace, defence, and autonomous applications, including fixed- and rotary-wing UAVs and other advanced platforms.The Module Manager acts as the technical authority and owner of a turbofan engine module throughout its entire lifecycle.He/she is accountable for technical integrity, performance, airworthiness, durability, and compliance of the module, from concept definition to in-service support.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical OwnershipOwn the technical definition, architecture, and performance of the assigned moduleDefine and maintain module-level requirements, margins, and design targets.Ensure compliance with certification regulations (CS-E type, MIL) and internal design standards.Approve technical decisions, deviations, and concessions.System IntegrationEnsure compatibility of the module with adjacent systems and overall engine architecture.Support system-level trade studies and performance optimization.Validate interfaces (mechanical, thermal, functional, and control).Development & CertificationLead technical reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, certification reviews).Ensure maturity of the design prior to testing and industrialization.Support compliance demonstrations and certification documentation.In-Service SupportParticipate in root cause analysis of in-service events.Define corrective actions, design improvements, and retrofit strategies.Support airworthiness decisions and continued operational safetyPrepare and distribute status reports, technical reports, and materials for Program Review Meetings (PRMs).Ensure appropriate coordination with platforms, OEM, key stakeholders and internal teams: Test Engineering, System Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure module integrity, technical consistency and full compliance.Ensure the module development progress throughout development up to serial production/in-service support. Coordinate and maintain the module plan and key success factors to reach milestones (PDR, CDR, SOF, Serial…) including consistency of deliverables (development, production plan, certification, airworthiness…). Manage, follow and approve change orders, risks and compliance.Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 8 years of experience within turbofan propulsion, aerospace, or other complex engineered systemsSolid understanding of turbofan architectures (including engine build-up and dressing, AGB, ECU, modules FAN/LPC/HPC/HPT/LPT/TRF/OGV sub-systems and their integration constraints), performance drivers and technology interfaces (sensors, equipment)Experience in module management, project leadership, system approach and all related tools.Exposure to customer, OEMs, authoritiesKnowledge of V&V, airworthiness and certification frameworks (such as FAA Part 33, CS-E)SkillsStrong module vision and system approach / interfaces managementAbility to analyze and structure complex information into actionable product decision under pressure with a sense of urgencyAbility to work in a multicultural environment, across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and commercial teamsExcellent communication skills, team playerAgile / lean methodology knowledge is a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
