Job Description
Carter Murray is partnering with a leading UAE‑based organisation operating in a high‑growth, innovation‑driven environment to appoint a Procurement Specialist, based in Abu Dhabi.This role is pivotal to the organisation’s ability to deliver complex programmes and strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end procurement across indirect and technical categories, ensuring high‑quality sourcing, robust contractual agreements, supplier performance excellence, and commercial optimisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in enabling critical operational and technical functions by securing essential equipment, services, and solutions in a timely and cost‑effective manner.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Category ManagementLead strategic, end‑to‑end sourcing activities across indirect and technical procurement categories.Consolidate requirements across multiple business units to drive efficiency, cost optimisation, and spend visibility.Develop sourcing strategies aligned with organisational objectives and project priorities.Contracting & NegotiationDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including MSAs, SOWs, licensing agreements, service contracts, and equipment‑related agreements.Manage the full contract lifecycle, ensuring renewals, compliance, and risk mitigation.Facilitate alignment among internal stakeholders during negotiation and award decisions.Supplier Management & PerformanceIdentify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, technical capabilities, and reliability.Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent value delivery.Monitor supplier KPIs, service levels, and contractual commitments, implementing improvement actions where needed.Governance, Compliance & ReportingEnsure all procurement activities comply with internal governance frameworks, policies, and relevant regulations.Prepare procurement reports, dashboards, and market intelligence updates for management.Uphold high ethical standards and promote best practices in procurement processes.Candidate ProfileQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.7+ years of procurement experience with strong expertise in at least one of the following:IT procurement (software, infrastructure, licensing, specialized hardware)Professional & consultancy services procurementCapEx, equipment, and indirect categoriesProven track record in complex contract negotiations, supplier performance management, and strategic sourcing.Strong commercial acumen and the ability to partner effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders.Proficiency with ERP systems, procurement platforms, and advanced Excel skills.Professional certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are strongly preferred.Skills & CompetenciesExcellent negotiation, communication, and influencing skills.Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in fast‑moving environments.Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.High level of accountability, integrity, and ownership.#J-18808-Ljbffr
