Create and implement strategies for procurement that are cost effective, agile to suit market changes and with a quick turnaround timeEnsuring to develop, build and foster a network of vendors/ suppliersNegotiating with vendors and suppliers to get favourable terms, timely suppliesExecution and follow up of the PO placed to the point of shipment.Manage technological systems that track the shipment, inventory and supply of materialsPrepare daily, weekly and monthly procurement reportsEnsure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulationsPartner with Commercial and Operations to contribute to Bids and TendersContract management and conducting assessment of suppliersSourcing from Africa locally, China and India. Primarily for yellow goods plant and machinery, project purchases and process plantsKeep abreast of changing industry trendsEducation & ExperienceGraduate / BBA / MBA in Material Management or Supply Chain8 - 12 years of experience in a similar role in Industrial and Manufacturing GoodsHas worked in procurement and supply chain managementHandled Multi geographySkillsMeticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Excellent Negotiation and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team.#J-18808-Ljbffr
