Procurement Engineer

ResponsibilitiesIdentify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and subcontractors.Review and analyze technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements to determine procurement needs.Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), purchase orders, and tender documents.Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions with suppliers.Ensure purchased materials and equipment comply with quality standards and technical specifications.Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.Maintain updated records of suppliers, contracts, and procurement documentation.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to align procurement with project timelines and budgets.Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and industry trends.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer or in a similar procurement/purchasing role.Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and contract negotiation.Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Preferred ExperienceKnowledge of international sourcing and import/export regulations.Certification in Supply Chain/Procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
