Procurement Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Engineer with proven experience in interior fit‑out or construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, subcontractors, and services in alignment with project specifications, budgets, and timelines. This role requires strong technical knowledge of fit‑out materials, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project and design teams.Key ResponsibilitiesStudy project drawings, BOQs, and specifications to identify procurement requirementsSegregate project scope into procurement packages, including materials, subcontract works, and long‑lead itemsFloat enquiries (RFQs) to approved suppliers and subcontractorsEvaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors both technically and commerciallyConduct negotiations to secure the best pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedulesPrepare comparative statements and provide procurement recommendations to managementCoordinate with project, design, and planning teams for material approvals and procurement timelinesIssue purchase orders (LPOs) and subcontracts upon management approvalTrack deliveries and ensure materials and services are delivered according to project schedulesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractorsMaintain and update supplier and subcontractor databasesMonitor market trends, pricing, and identify cost‑saving opportunitiesEnsure procurement activities comply with project specifications, contractual obligations, and company policiesRequirementsBachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related fieldMinimum 3–5 years of procurement experience in interior fit‑out or construction projects in the UAEStrong knowledge of UAE supplier market and fit‑out procurement processesStrong knowledge of interior fit‑out materials including joinery, gypsum, flooring, glass, metal, finishes, and MEP‑related itemsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and specificationsExperience in package‑wise procurement planning and executionExcellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skillsStrong experience in supplier evaluation and subcontractor coordinationFamiliarity with procurement documentation such as RFQs, comparative statements (CS), LPOs, and subcontractsProficiency in MS Excel and procurement tracking toolsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple procurement packages simultaneouslyAbility to work under pressure and meet project deadlinesDisclaimer: Black Pearl will never ask for money or any form to charge our candidates just to process or consider their application for any of our available vacancies.
