PROCESS SAFETY DESIGNER

We are looking for an experienced Process Safety Designer to join our team in Abu Dhabi for a major onshore oil and gas project. The successful candidate will support the engineering team by developing and delivering high-quality process safety design drawings and documentation throughout the FEED and Detailed Engineering phases. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and develop process safety-related drawings and layouts including: Escape route layouts Fire & gas detection layouts Firewater system layouts Hazardous area classification drawings Safety equipment location plans Ensure designs are compliant with project specifications ADNOC standards and relevant international codes. Support engineers by translating technical process safety input into design deliverables. Coordinate and collaborate with process piping mechanical and other engineering disciplines. Incorporate findings from safety studies (e.g. HAZOP HAZID SIL FERA EERA) into design drawings. Revise and update drawings based on engineering reviews client comments and internal markups. Maintain drawing quality clarity and consistency throughout the project phases. Support deliverable tracking and document control processes. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in Engineering Design or Drafting. Minimum 8 years of experience in drafting/design for process safety within the oil and gas industry. Strong experience in FEED Detailed Design and Detailed Engineering for onshore oil and gas projects. Proficient in AutoCAD and other drafting/design software. Familiar with ADNOC and international standards (e.g. NFPA IEC API). Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
