Principal Piping Designer

Job SummaryThe Principal Piping Designer will be responsible for leading and delivering piping design activities for major oil and gas projects. The role requires extensive experience in piping design, strong technical capability in 2D and 3D modelling tools, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project and client requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead piping design activities for FEED, detailed design, and modification projectsPrepare, review, and approve piping layouts, GA drawings, isometrics, and MTOsEnsure designs comply with applicable international codes, standards, and client specificationsProvide technical guidance and mentoring to piping designers within the teamCoordinate with piping engineers, stress engineers, and other disciplinesPerform model reviews, clash detection, and design optimisationSupport constructability reviews and resolve site‑related design queriesEnsure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirementsMinimum RequirementsDiploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplineMinimum 18+ years of experience in piping design within the oil and gas industryStrong experience on onshore oil and gas projectsProven experience working within EPC / engineering consultancy environmentsSoftware & Technical Skills2D SoftwareAutoCADMicroStation3D Modelling SoftwarePDMSSmartPlant 3D (S3D)E3D3D Review ToolsNavisworksSPRAdditional SkillsLFM (Laser Field Measurement) proficiencyMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)#J-18808-Ljbffr
