Job Description – Principal Electrical Engineer – Onshore (DOH01 MA)WorleyJobElectricalScheduleFull-timeEmployment TypeEmployeeJob PostingFeb 15, 2026Unposting DateOngoingResponsibilitiesManage electrical engineering services that meet Worley', its customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.Manage electrical engineering project requirements.Manage electrical engineering services such as:Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and comply with required checking procedures.Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes.Provide advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, oversee requisitions, technical bid evaluations and purchase order preparation.Act as the electrical engineering Lead on specific projects.If responsible for a team:Outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress; andEnsure the required services meet Worley, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its Customer's requirements.Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering.If required, assist and support junior personnel within the electrical engineering team.Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.Quality AssuranceResponsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of Quality Assurance systems.SafetyResponsible for personal safety safe, safe working practices. Understand and follow OH & S procedures promoting health, safety and environmental awareness.HSE CapabilityMaintain HSE focus with the team to ensure OHSE requirements.Demonstrate business practices commensurate with a culture of world’s best health, safety and environmental performance.Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to:personal well-being;healthy and safe workplaces and activities;Continuously improve Worley health, safety and environmental performance.Identify and report work hazards and incidents.Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, TrainingFull‑Time Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage.Industry Specific ExperienceMust have vast experience in Electrical design and engineering of oil & gas / large industrial projects in Onshore projects.Experience in brown fields & asset services type project / contracts.Experience in MV cable sizing based on IEC60287 using CYMECAP will be an added advantage.Qatar project experience with knowledge of Kahramaa standards is preferred.132k V GIS substation design132k V, 33k V Cable sizing calculation16 MW to 20 MW compressor motorPower System Study.Unit and non-unit protection setting.HV/LV Equipment Specification, Data Sheet.MR/TBE.Vendor Drawing Review.Sound Report Writing skills.Prepare Design Basis Memorandum for the project.Feasibility and Concept Optimalization Study, Pre‑FEED, FEED, Detail Engineering Design.Moving forward togetherWe’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace where everyone feels they belong, can bring themselves, and are heard.
