We deliver both regional and sector-specific cleantech accelerators and programmes to support the decarbonisation of industry. We work with companies innovating across the Renewables, Energy Networks, Buildings, DSR, Transport, Industry, CCUS, and Waste & Water sectors. We were the lead delivery partner for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy’s Energy Entrepreneurs Fund (EEF) for nine years whichprovides acceleration support toentrepreneurs that have received technology development grants.CLT has also been expanding its international presence, delivering energy innovation work in Brazil, Mexico, and India. We were also selected as the official innovation partner for the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi.More recently, CLT is leading several cross-sector programmes across the innovation ecosystem to explore a range of intervention mechanisms to unlock investment into adoption and scale-up of new clean technologies.CLT clean tech innovation consultancy works closely with the Clean Growth Fund, a £100 million venture capital fund that invests in early-stage, disruptive cleantech innovative, high-growth companies. CGF and CLT share an office, and CLT provides support to CGF, including pipeline, techno-market due diligence, and support to portfolio companies.About the roleCLT has a small core team and can offer you the opportunity to get involved with and shape CLT’s growing domestic and international business. This role exposes you to the new technologies being developed within the CleanTech sector and provides hands‑on experience working with R&D and start‑up initiatives, placing you at the cutting edge of science and technology. You will have an opportunity to make a difference by supporting the commercialisation of these technologies and thereby contribute to a future sustainable and low‑carbon economy.It is envisaged that you will:Lead consultancy projects and clean tech programmes for public and private sector clients and manage multi‑disciplinary teams, including independent experts in the CLT Associate networkProvide thought leadership and develop research and consulting methodologies, generating high‑level recommendations and strategic insights to clientsDesign and implement approaches for delivery of complex support programmesCarry out the most complex analysis on our projects and provide guidance and oversight to junior team membersBe responsible for project budgets and high‑quality project outcomesProvide line management and mentoring to more junior team membersAssist the Clean Growth Fund portfolio companiesLead business development proposals, including creating budget forecasts and contributing to programme development strategiesEnhance and grow the CLT client ecosystem and develop independent client relationships, developing new business opportunitiesLead internal activities of the company, including building CLT’s knowledge base, improving internal business processes and maintaining the marketing and contacts databasesHave the right to work in the UKCLT will support your development so that you can gain the experience you need to meet your career goals. You will have a two‑year tailored career development plan that will be jointly agreed upon.RequirementsWe are open to applicants at various stages of their careers, but you must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.Alongside being a team player with a can‑do attitude, at a minimum, we expect you to:Have a demonstrated passion for sustainability and clean technologyHave a high degree of autonomy in the identification, conversion and delivery of consulting projects.Have a demonstrable track record in managing complex multi‑stakeholder projects and programmesHave up‑to‑date and relevant experience of solving complex client problems using a range of recognised problem‑solving and analytical techniquesHave experience in leading multi‑disciplinary project teams to successful outcomesHave gained and wish to further invest in relevant knowledge, sector specialisation and consulting skillsHave presented at relevant industry events and nurture your network of Senior professional relationshipsHave a good bachelor’s degree in science or engineeringBe fluent in spoken and written English, with strong writing and synthesis skillsHave excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skillsBe proficient in the main Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) including building models in ExcelBe proactive and willing to get involved in the variety of acti
