Job Description As a Principal Business Systems Analyst at Red Hat IT Training team, you will play a vital role in the IT Training and Certification Platforms team. Your main responsibilities will include analyzing complex issues, developing technical requirements with business stakeholders, and ensuring that business requirements are met. Your expertise in Agile/Scrum methodology via Jira will be crucial for this role. Building strong relationships and working independently to address business needs will be key aspects of your daily tasks. Remote candidates with the required skills and a track record of successful independent work will also be considered for this position. **Key Responsibilities:** - Meet regularly with key business stakeholders to assist in translating requirements into technical solutions and provide advice on trade-offs and long-term impacts of requirements/enhancement requests. - Collaborate with vendors to manage application enhancements, resolve technical issues, and align priorities with business objectives. - Configure system settings, conduct various testing procedures, and ensure that business requirements are met. - Provide technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scale new and current systems in a cost-effective manner. - Manage multiple application requirements and prioritize work across multiple teams and stakeholders. - Lead cross-portfolio initiatives to align business, technology, and data strategy with enterprise goals. - Mentor junior analysts and team members, offering guidance, training, and performance feedback. - Develop various documentation including business requirement docs, statements of work, Jira cards, flow charts, slide decks, and other visuals. - Review business processes and explore new IT advancements to enhance system modernization. - Identify AI/automation opportunities within business processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience. - Develop a deep understanding of products and vision to help guide technical development. **Qualifications Required:** - 7+ years of experience as a business systems analyst in full project management lifecycles for software development, implementation, and maintenance projects. - 3+ years of experience defining and maintaining business/technical strategies and roadmaps. - 2+ years of experience in a leadership role and mentoring junior associates. - Demonstrated success in learning new technologies and influencing product direction. - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with mature judgment. - Ability to manage multiple application requirements across various platforms simultaneously. - Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. - Experience working in agile development teams (Scrum, Kanban). - Experience with source code control platforms, preferably Git. - Experience using project management tools like Jira. - Relevant certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma are a plus.
