Principal Architect - Cloud and Software Architecture

Job Description As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within Consumer & Community Bank Connected Commerce Technology Team, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and adoption of cutting-edge, cloud-based technologies. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing and developing architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as supporting the adoption of strategic global solutions. Collaborating with colleagues across the organization, you will leverage your advanced architecture capabilities to drive best-in-class outcomes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Advise cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies - Develop multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities - Create complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design - Develop secure and high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others - Serve as the functions go-to subject matter expert - Contribute to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies - Create durable, reusable software frameworks that improve velocity and quality of output across teams and functions - Champion the firms culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect **Qualifications Required:** - Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience, with 5+ years of experience leading technologists - Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability - Expertise in one or more programming language(s) - Deep knowledge in one or more software, applications, and architecture - Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines - Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines - Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager - Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives - Understanding of the business - Practical cloud-native experience In addition to the above qualifications, the following skills are preferred: - Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure - Previous coding experience will be a preference This role is at a Senior Level and offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and contribute to the growth and success of JPMorgan Chase as a Principal Architect in the Connected Commerce Technology team.
