Job Description Role Overview: As a Programmer in our team, you will play a crucial role in providing programming support to the statistics and programming department across various projects, clients, and therapeutic areas. Your primary responsibility will involve manipulating large databases and generating reports to facilitate analysts in exploring real-world healthcare data assets. Your expertise in SAS and SQL programming, along with the ability to implement complex logic, will be essential for creating analysis data sets from diverse data sources. Key Responsibilities: - Manipulate large databases and generate reports for analysts to explore real-world healthcare data assets - Utilize SAS and SQL programming skills to implement complex logic - Create complex analysis data sets from various data sources with attention to outliers and errors - Build patient cohorts and evaluate patient healthcare events in large databases using observational research methods - Support rare diseases primarily in the team - Utilize Real World Healthcare claims database experience - Demonstrate proficiency in SQL querying and extraction from databases - Lead internal and client study team meetings effectively - Present study updates internally and at client meetings - Share scientific, technical, and practical knowledge within the team and with colleagues - Perform work in full compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, company policies, and procedures - Build effective collaborative working relationships with internal and client team members - Contribute to the development of internal training materials - Mentor more junior team members Qualification Required: - Bachelors degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field with high statistical content - Minimum four years of SAS statistical programming experience - Database programming expertise using SQL - Experience with advanced statistical methods such as survival and regression - Familiarity with real world healthcare claims and EHR data - Masters degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or related field with high statistical content is preferred - Training or experience in using the OMOP common data model - Experience with Python, R, Databricks, or other cloud-based software is a plus - Previous pharmaceutical industry experience is beneficial - Training or experience in epidemiological methods would be advantageous Role Overview: As a Programmer in our team, you will play a crucial role in providing programming support to the statistics and programming department across various projects, clients, and therapeutic areas.
