The school is located on the east coast of Sharjah, in an area primed for rapid development. Staff may live in nearby Fujairah, with coastal living a short distance from the campus. The East Coast offers rugged mountains, beaches, and mangrove forests, with Dubai about an hour and a half away.The RoleYou will teach a Primary grade class (ages 6 to 12; exact age range of class to be confirmed) through the Australian curriculum.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Victorian (Australian) curriculumFoster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and wellbeingUtilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilitiesAssess student progress and provide constructive feedbackCollaborate with colleagues and school leadership to ensure student successParticipate in professional development opportunitiesMaintain positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community, demonstrating cultural sensitivityRequirementsBachelor’s / postgraduate studies in education or relevant teaching subjectValid teaching licence/ current teaching registration from Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, UK, US or Canada (e.g. VIT, QTS)Minimum 2years of post-qualification teaching experience at the relevant age rangeExperience with the Australian Curriculum is advantageous but not essentialPrevious international teaching experience, particularly in the Middle East, would be an advantageDynamic and creative approach to teaching and motivating studentsFlexibility and resilience to work in a fast-growing, team-based schoolTax-free salary on a scale linked to teaching experienceEnd of service gratuityHousing options – furnished apartment or allowanceAnnual flight allowance to the point of originHealth insurance4-day working week (Monday to Thursday)Opportunities for professional development2-year contract with renewal optionsAbout ANZUK EducationANZUK Education has supported educators since 2004.
