osition: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Emergency DepartmentKey Responsibilities:Clinical Care and Treatment:Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiratory rate.Provide basic wound care, including cleaning, dressing, and monitoring for signs of infection.Assist in performing diagnostic tests, including POCT ECG and phlebotomy.Perform POCT quality control checks.Monitor patients for changes in condition and report observations to the healthcare team promptly.Patient Support and Education:Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during their stay in the emergency department.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.Documentation and Record-Keeping:Accurately document all aspects of patient care.Assist the registered nurse in preparing patients for discharge.Emergency Response:Assist in emergency procedures, such as Basic Life Support (BLS).Help prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for emergency procedures.Infection Control and Safety:Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines to prevent the spread of infection.Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.Supplies and Consumables:Ensure that clinical areas are stocked with supplies and consumables.Continuous Learning and Professional Development:Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in emergency care.Attend department meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives as required.Patient Escorting:Escort home discharge patients by ambulance.Escort admitted patients along with the Registered Nurse.Escort stable patients to specialty clinics and the Radiology department.Equipment Management:Perform daily and monthly checks, including E-carts, Broselow carts, and the ambulance medication box.Store, manage, and dispense CSSD items.#J-18808-Ljbffr
