OverviewJob DescriptionWe invite applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position within the project “Biosolids-derived emerging contaminants and beyond: Understanding their impacts on plant–microbe interaction, plant health and ecosystem sustainability”, hosted at the Department of Integrative Agriculture, College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine (CAVM), UAE University. This interdisciplinary project addresses important global challenges related to emerging contaminants (ECs) including microplastics, PFAS, antibiotics, and pharmaceuticals and their impacts on soil and rhizosphere microbiomes, plant health, and ecosystem sustainability, with a strong focus on arid and water-scarce agricultural systems.Minimum QualificationPhD in Microbial Ecology, Environmental Microbiology, Plant Biology, or related fieldsExperience in soil/rhizosphere microbiome research and molecular techniquesStrong analytical, writing, and teamwork skillsProven or emerging publication recordPreferred QualificationDesign and conduct soil–plant–microbe experiments involving biosolids and ECsPerform microbiome and molecular analyses (DNA/RNA extraction, sequencing-based approaches)Assess microbial functional responses and plant physiological traitsIntegrate and analyze complex datasets using statistical, bioinformatics tools and machine learningPublish results in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at scientific conferencesSupervise graduate students and collaborate within a multidisciplinary research teamExperience with emerging contaminants or ecotoxicologyFamiliarity with omics data analysis, bioinformatics, or machine learning approachesInterest in sustainable agriculture and arid ecosystem researchExpected SkillsPhD in Microbial Ecology, Environmental Microbiology, Plant Biology, or related fieldsExperience in soil/rhizosphere microbiome research and molecular techniquesStrong analytical, writing, and teamwork skillsProven or emerging publication recordClose Date: Kindly apply before the closing date. 24/03/2026#J-18808-Ljbffr
