OverviewThe Sreenivasan Lab at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a PostDoctoral Associate to conduct functional MRI studies of working memory.Research in the Sreenivasan Laboratory focuses on the neurobiological mechanisms that support and constrain working memory ability. Our projects involve collaborations with Psychology and Biology faculty at NYUAD and NYU New York among other international collaborations. The neuroimaging facilities at NYUAD include a 3T Prisma MRI MEG EEG and eye addition to supporting the research of the principal investigator successful candidates will be encouraged to develop independent research projects as part of training for an independent research career.ResponsibilitiesConduct functional MRI studies of working memory.Collaborate with Psychology and Biology faculty at NYUAD and NYU New York, along with international collaborators.Utilize NYUAD neuroimaging facilities (3T Prisma MRI, MEG, EEG) to support research projects.Develop independent research ideas as part of training for an independent research career.QualificationsCandidates must hold a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field.Strong background in functional neuroimaging with experience in decoding and/or encoding models is required.Candidates with experience with recurrent neural networks will be given preference.The ideal candidate will possess strong computational skills and have experience with MATLAB, Python, or equivalent programming languages and have a strong publication record in the field of working memory or a related area.Terms of employment include competitive salary and benefits.ApplicationsApplications will be accepted immediately.
