PMC Quality Manager

Wood is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented PMC Project Quality Manager to join our team, representing the client on a major oil and gas project. This role is critical to ensuring that all aspects of the project meet the highest standards of quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.As the PMC Project Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing quality management systems, conducting audits, managing non-conformities, and ensuring all contractors and subcontractors adhere to project specifications, codes, and industry best practices. You will act as the key liaison between the client, engineering teams, and construction contractors to drive a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of a high-profile energy project, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance at every stageResponsibilitiesJob ObjectiveManaging the application of quality principles, systems, and measures and the quality management system across business units, business groups, or large projects. Focused on improving delivery efficiency customer satisfaction and reducing potential risks and rework whilst complying with Quality policy, and standards and delivering agreed objectives.Ensures compliance with the Wood Business Management System and compliance through a structured risk-based assurance programme.Supporting measures that ensure predictable delivery and continuous improvement using performance data to make factually based decisions. Engaging and presenting senior leaders with information and data to enable preventive interventions.This position has a broad scope and typically applies at BG or sub-BG level or on large/complex Projects/programmes where they are responsible for a quality team.QualificationsBachelor degree in Engineering or Quality management, project management, or related discipline (essential)Lead Auditor qualification by a recognized industry body (essential)Membership of CQI/ASQ Quality organizations, Project Management Institute or equivalent (desirable)Formal training in recognized root cause analysis techniques (essential)20+ years of relevant experience (preferably in the associated industry)Comprehensive understanding of industry standards (ISO 9001)Experience in building and managing relationships with customers and key stakeholdersExperience in working with multifunctional teamsDemonstrated ability to manage change and thrive in a highly dynamic work environmentHigh Level of communication skills in both written and spoken format.Proficient in the use of continuous improvement tools and techniquesAbout UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
