Job Description

<div><h3>Job Purpose</h3></br><p>Manage procurement activities, policies and procedures and carry on strategies for the assigned Section. Section management may require handling complex or non-routine assignments and special projects.</p></br></br><h3>Main Accountabilities / Responsibilities</h3></br><ul></br><li>Lead the efforts towards timely processing of proponent requests, it’s conversion to orders/agreements and delivery in a timely manner.</li></br><li>Establish and lead cross‑functional teams to develop the procurement category strategies in alignment with the procurement strategies and business objectives.</li></br><li>Manage the development, implementation and delivery of the category strategies including sourcing activities which generate benefits and achieve financial savings targets through insight and analysis of category and sub‑category areas.</li></br><li>Conduct analysis of procurement spends and supply base to establish suppliers per procurement category and sub‑categories.</li></br><li>Conduct analysis of supply markets to identify potential suppliers, market trends and savings opportunities to the respective category in coordination with market intelligence and supplier relationship teams.</li></br><li>Provide support on preparation of pre‑bid documents in conjunction with key user departments and make recommendation to stakeholders on contract terms and conditions.</li></br><li>Develop negotiation strategy and negotiate spot/contractual agreements with suppliers to ensure that goods or services, quality, added value, total cost, security of supply and the deployment of the supplier’s capabilities in innovation are secured.</li></br><li>Manage and develop supplier relationships, for the respective category and sub‑categories, using leading practice procurement tools (e.g. supplier performance reviews) to deliver breakthrough performance in cost, service and quality; keep internal proponent informed and involved in on‑going supplier management and work proactively with supplier relationship management team to deliver objectives.</li></br><li>Coordinate the implementation of new systems and procedures within the procurement organization; review unusual circumstances and problems and recommend resolutions.</li></br><li>Provide functional expertise to purchasing operations and to procurement personnel; coach new employees to have in depth knowledge of purchasing systems/procedures, key suppliers, and products and services.</li></br><li>Develop appropriate sourcing strategies and utilize the knowhow of purchasing systems/procedures to effectively manage suppliers.</li></br><li>Lead major procurement actions/high‑impact projects with large expenditures and pressured delivery schedules which require a high level of purchasing expertise.</li></br><li>Perform any job‑related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.</li></br></ul></br></br><h3>Education</h3></br><ul></br><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.</li></br><li>Preferred: MBA degree.</li></br></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
