Planning Section Head

We are seeking an experienced Planning Section Head to lead project planning and scheduling across major construction works. This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage detailed project schedules (baseline and updates)Monitor progress and analyse delays, risks, and opportunitiesProvide accurate short-term and long-term look-ahead programmesLead programme risk workshops and mitigation planningInterface with commercial teams on claims, variations, and EOTsEnsure planning standards, processes, and reporting are maintainedSupport tender planning and pre-construction activitiesMentor and guide project planners and engineersSkills & ExperienceProven experience as a Planning Manager or Senior Planner in constructionStrong knowledge of construction sequencing and methodologiesProficiency in planning software (e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project)Experience on large-scale infrastructure, building, or civil projectsExcellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesQualificationsDegree in EngineeringWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefitsOpportunity to work on landmark construction projectsSupportive, collaborative team environmentCareer progression and professional development#J-18808-Ljbffr
