Planning EngineerDepartment: ProjectsReporting To: Project DirectorNumber of Positions: 1Location: Sharjah (flexible travel for deputations)Job Type: Full‑timePreferred Joining Date: December 2025Reasons for Hiring: To strengthen project forecasting, scheduling accuracy, and execution control by ensuring disciplined planning, progress tracking, and risk visibility across all projects.RequirementsExperience: 5+ years in project planning with at least 2 years in the water industry.Qualification: BE in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.Tools/Technologies: Primavera P6 proficiency, Excel proficiency, ERP hands‑on experience.Sector/Industry Experience: Water treatment, Construction, O&G.Language: English (mandatory).Key SkillsProject Scheduling & Baseline DevelopmentCCPM & EVAProgress Measurement & TrackingAnalytical Reasoning & Problem‑solving AbilityData Analysis SkillsResource Planning & Productivity TrackingCost & Budget MonitoringChange ManagementRisk & Stakeholder ManagementGovernance, Documentation & Reporting DisciplineOwnership & Self‑Driven Planning BehaviourKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop, update, and maintain Level 1–Level 4 project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.Prepare baseline schedules aligned with project scope, BOQ, resources and contractual milestones.Identify and monitor the critical path, near‑critical activities and schedule risks.Track daily, weekly and monthly progress and compare against baseline and look‑ahead plans.Prepare S‑curves, dashboards, productivity reports and earned value analysis (EVA).Conduct CCPM buffer monitoring and support recovery planning.Perform resource planning including manpower, equipment and materials; execute resource levelling.Forecast resource requirements and identify productivity gaps with site teams.Conduct delay analysis using window analysis and other trimester‑and‑as‑planned methods.Support delay claim preparation, EOT requests and documentation of delay drivers.Assess schedule impact of scope changes, design revisions, procurement delays and site constraints.Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and subcontractors for schedule alignment.Participate in internal and client progress review meetings and present schedule performance.Assist in monitoring project costs, comparing budget vs. actual, and preparing cash‑flow forecasts.Maintain schedule version control, update logs and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.Prepare structured, timely progress reports for internal teams and client stakeholders.Ensure planning documents, assumptions and constraints are clearly recorded and traceable.Integrate schedule updates with ERP systems and develop Excel‑based trackers and analytics.Analyse productivity trends, KPIs and variances to recommend corrective actions.Demonstrate ownership through proactive risk identification, early warnings and solution‑driven behaviour.Support preparation of as‑built schedules, closeout documentation and DLP planning.Compensation & BenefitsSalary Range (Budget): 6,000 to 7,000 AED.Interview ModeOnline / Face to FaceWorkdays & Timing66 days a week, 99 hours a day (approximately). Timing is flexible as required by the project schedule.#J-18808-Ljbffr
