This role is responsible for developing, executing, and monitoring production plans that support business objectives in a high-mix manufacturing environment.The Production Planner serves as a key link between Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering, translating forecasts and customer requirements into executable production schedules. By optimizing capacity utilization, improving plan adherence, and strengthening on-time delivery performance, this role directly supports customer satisfaction and long-term business growth at our Sharjah facility.Knowledge / Skills:Strong understanding of production planning, master scheduling, and capacity management in a manufacturing environmentProven ability to translate demand forecasts into executable production plansWorking knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, preferably EpicorFamiliarity with bill of materials (BOM), routings, and manufacturing workflowsAbility to analyze machine, labor, and shift capacity to support planning decisionsExperience coordinating cross-functional teams to align production prioritiesStrong analytical skills to identify risks, constraints, and improvement opportunitiesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis toolsExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management abilitiesDemonstrated problem-solving skills under time pressureQualifications / Education / Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operationsExperience working in an industrial or manufacturing environmentProficiency in ERP/MRP systemsStrong analytical and data management skillsDetail-oriented with high accuracy standardsExperience with continuous improvement methodologies preferredDuties / Responsibilities:Develop and maintain monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on approved forecasts and customer demandDetermine what to produce, in what quantities, and on which dates in alignment with business prioritiesCreate and manage master production schedules (MPS) aligned with capacity and inventory targetsAnalyze machine, labor, and shift capacities to identify constraints and opportunitiesProvide planning inputs for overtime, outsourcing, and capital investment decisionsCoordinate Sales–Production–Supply Planning (S&OP) activitiesRelease, manage, and track work orders through the Epicor systemMonitor production progress and proactively adjust schedules to address risksPerform plan vs. actual performance analysis and recommend corrective actionsTrack and report key KPIs including Plan Adherence and On-Time DeliveryCollaborate with Procurement, Warehouse, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure material availabilityLead or participate in daily and weekly production planning meetingsIdentify and resolve scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and delivery risksSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and schedulingOffice and on-site manufacturing facility environment. Regular presence on the production floor. The employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to operate standard office and production systems.
