Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, it is present in more than50 countriesaround the world and employs about30,000 people of over 130 nationalities.Purpose of the positionAs Piping & Layout Engineer, you will respond to the Piping & Layout Lead and be part of the COMP3 project within Engineering Fixed Facilities Department.ResponsibilitiesA - Development Technology know how and Commercial supportB - FeasibilityC - Bidding phase / Commercial proposal developmentBill of materialPlot plan lay out proposalSupport lead to define man hour and cost estimateD - Project ExecutionEnsure the Piping and Layout engineering support to different projectsEnsure the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfilment of project quality requirements and contractual obligationsAnalyse technical documents (e.g. specifications, calculation notes, drawings) to assess the scope of the studies required and the potential risksSeek solutions which can bring overall savings to the projectEstimate quantities or validate estimation done by other specialist of the teamCheck all produced documents (internal or subcontracted) like design reports, technical specifications, drawings under responsibilityWrite the Piping and Layout methodologies / Design Premises comprehensive of all necessary data, general and specific design guidelinesAnalyse project technical documents to validate consistency between the budget, resources and means allocated for the work completion and the targets to be metOrganize the work of the team under responsibilityDefine and follow-up the planning of resources mobilizationMonitor and report actual progress including 3 D / check for Discipline activities, including control of men-hours and delivered documentsControl the input data for team activities and check/review all documents issued by the teamAttend to internal review activities and inter-discipline check meetingsProvide technical support to Project groupProvide technical support to Procurement, Subcontracting and Construction activities included in the scope of workSupervise the writing of specifications and requisitions as well as technical bid evaluationsInform on a permanent basis the Project Piping and Layout leader of any foreseen technical or financial or delay riskFeed the Piping and Layout Department improvement system by reverting the lessons learned during the projectE - Construction and start-upParticipate to test circuit verificationField engineering during construction activitiesAssist, when necessary, engineering adjustment on siteMaterial management at siteQualificationsEducation:Master’s Degree in EngineeringExperience:Minimum 5-10 years in Piping and Layout engineeringTechnical Skills / Knowledge:Operation follow up / offshore & onshoreEPC experiencePerform technical tasks assigned by the Piping & Layout Lead, related with design, verification or study activitiesInterface with other Project Specialists, Designers and DraftsmanCo-ordinate technical activities performed inside or outside SaipemIT Skills:Office package (including Microsoft Project)Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)Advanced Microsoft Excel skillsBenefitsPermanent Contract - Project-based positionCorporate Benefits : We offer a comprehensive benefits packageWorking Hours:45 hours weekly (9 hours x 5 days)OurOne Saipem Waysoft skills model leverages on skills development, career growth, opportunities to innovate through complex challenges by promoting communication and collaboration to achieve common goals.Additional InformationWe support your development!
