Job Description
ResponsibilitiesSupport Facilities Lead for technical studies of pipelines and subsea interconnection scopesManage pipelines engineering study and oversee required external engineering scopesContributes to all stages of Development Process, including internal and external engagementLiaise and interface with relevant entities in COMPANY and acts as focal point for pipelinesPrepare material and documentation to support management and shareholder meeting/ validationSeeks innovative engineering solutions with a strong focus on operational and cost optimizationWorks independently, adapting to a dynamic and evolving work-scope within narrow timeframesPossesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in a transverse project teamEnsure that all COMPANY and Industry HSE requirements are adhered to in the development studiesDevelop pipeline/ flexible technologies evaluation and comparison further, based on existing exercises from previous preliminary study phaseIdentify possible optimized options of subsea interconnection routings, pipeline and flexible technologies, coatings, cables, and crossing designs for further technical screening.Perform technical evaluation to screen‑out options and to retain several for conceptual phase. In conceptual phase, retained options would be evaluated further to select the best one for Pre‑FEEDLiaise with external technology providers to gather feedback of technical advantages and limitations, delivery timeline, feasibility of implementation in COMPANY field, and costs of products and services (in coordination with COMPANY Contract & Procurement entity)Manage required external engineering scopes, from external company identification, SOW preparation, technical discussions, external engineering supervision, technical reviews, and ensure timely completion of these scopesProvide technical inputs to support cost estimation of pipelines for each development study phaseProactively seek and propose technical solutions for CAPEX optimization and implement them into pipeline engineering designCoordinate with relevant entities in COMPANY to support pipelines engineering, including Geomatics, Geotech & Geophysics, Corrosion, PLR, Structure, Process, Project execution representative, etc.Develop pipelines project execution and planning, including constructability evaluationPrepare derogations when required from COMPANY Referential, and manage the approval processIdentify technical risks and integrate into project risk register and propose mitigation plan into the design.Participate and contribute to all internal and vendor reviews / meetings, including project technical review, operational and safety engineering review and risk managementPrepare presentations and other documentations to facilitate progression of the project through the development process stage gates.Collaborate with other sub‑departments within and contribute to improvements transversely.The Integrated Development Engineering Group (IDEG) of Phase 4 is set up to conduct the development studies required to maintain Al Shaheen potential above 300 kbopd beyond Phase 3.1 development. Its purpose will be to identify and evaluate attractive development options while accounting for the growing field maturity and the need for further appraisal.The pipelines engineering studies aims at defining the best technical solutions for subsea interconnections including pipelines/ flexibles/ cables technologies, routing and crossing design from Screening phase to Pre‑FEED. The objective is to minimize CAPEX without sacrificing safety aspects of project and operation.The job holder is responsible for delivering high quality pipelines engineering and for introducing new technologies in the context of a large and complex brownfield and of a multicultural standalone company.This position is an onshore position, with business travel as required.QualificationsBachelors (Masters preferred) in EngineeringProfessional Experience: Minimum 15 years' experience of pipeline engineering in oil and gas industry, with strong involvement in offshore pipelines/ flexibles/ cables engineering activitiesRobust understanding on all aspects of pipelines project including pipeline technologies, engineering design, procurement, project execution strategy and offshore installationSignificant experience in Early Engineering (Pre‑FID), including preliminary phase, screening, conceptual and Pre‑FEED and cost optimization effortsPersonal attributes: Excellent English Skills (Spoken & Written), good communication, strong leadership skill, ability to work in a multi‑cultural, multi‑dimensional and cross‑functional team, agile and adaptive to changesFamiliar with COMPANY and/ or Total Energies technical specifications are preferableComputer literate, especially in MS Office and Pipeline‑related softwareCompensation and TermsSalary:Day Rate in USD Plus AllowanceWork Schedule:8 Hours / 5 DaysDuration:2 years, renewableLocation:Qatar
