OverviewJob Title: Physical Education (Primary and Secondary)As a Physical Education Teacher at The Spanish School of Abu Dhabi you will create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment for primary and secondary students. You will play a vital role in fostering their physical social and emotional development within our multicultural setting. We seek educators who can implement a studentcentered learning approach maintain high standards and utilize creative teaching methodologies. This role requires dual accreditation to teach in both primary and secondary cycles in Spain.ResponsibilitiesInclusive classroom environment: create a welcoming classroom that promotes a sense of belonging for students from diverse cultural backgrounds.Curriculum development: develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the Spanish curriculum tailored to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and language proficiency.Interactive teaching: Foster a love for learning by incorporating creative and active teaching methodologies to make lessons interactive handson and enjoyable.Clear learning objectives: establish and communicate clear learning objectives to students ensuring they understand academic and behavioral expectations.Individualized support: provide individualized attention and support to students adapting teaching strategies to accommodate their unique strengths weaknesses and learning styles.Technology integration: utilize technology and instructional resources to enhance the learning experience and promote digital literacy among students.Student assessment: assess and evaluate student progress regularly through various formative and summative assessment methods providing timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.Collaborative projects: collaborate with other teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities that integrate different subjects and promote critical thinking creativity and problemsolving skills.Community involvement: encourage student participation in community service initiatives cultural events and extracurricular activities to foster social responsibility and global awareness.Parental communication: maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians providing regular updates on their childs academic progress and addressing any concerns.Classroom management: establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment implementing effective behavior management strategies and promoting positive discipline practices.Professional development: stay updated with educational research best practices and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance teaching skills and knowledge.Additional informationCultural sensitivity: promote cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity encouraging crosscultural understanding and celebrating diversity within the classroom and school community.Technology as a tool: integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning promoting digital literacy and facilitating distance learning if necessary.Differentiation strategies: implement differentiation strategies to accommodate students with diverse learning styles abilities and language proficiency levels.Stimulating classroom: create a stimulating and organized classroom environment equipped with appropriate resources materials and ageappropriate educational tools.Parental engagement: engage parents/guardians actively in their childs education through regular communication parentteacher conferences and involvement in school activities.Professional growth: participate in ongoing professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to stay current with educational best practices.Working hoursMonday to friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.Early bird program and afternoon dismissal will be on a rotating schedule.School holidays follow the calendar approved by ADEKRequirementsBachelor s Degree in Primary Education Grado en Educaci n Primaria with a specialization in Physical Education Menci n en Educaci n F sica plus additional qualifications for Secondary teaching.Teaching certification/license or equivalent qualifications recognized by the relevant educational authorities.Proven experience teaching primary/secondary students preferably in a multicultural or international setting.Native speaker of Spanish. Proficiency in English is essential.Knowledge of the Spanish curriculum and familiarity with innovative teaching methodologies and active learning strategies.Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students parents/guardians and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.Flexibility adaptability and a willingness to embrace the multicultural setting of the school.Passion for teaching a creative approach to education and a commitment to promoting students holistic development.BenefitsEmployee Benefits
