The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and processing blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.The ideal candidate should have previous experience working as a Phlebotomist, with knowledge of laboratory methods, techniques and standards. They should be patient-focused and able to handle difficult situations with tact and empathy. We would prefer an applicant from Africa who is able to communicate in the local language but this is not essential.ResponsibilitiesCollecting blood samples from patientsPerforming venipuncture procedures according to established protocolsProperly labeling collected samples and preparing them for transportEntering patient information into medical records databases accuratelyEnsuring all patients are treated with respect, dignity, and courtesy at all timesAdhering to safety protocols at all times when handling specimens or equipmentMaintaining cleanliness of work environment at all timesProviding quality customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptlyAssisting other medical staff with additional tasks as requiredQualificationsExperience as a Phlebotomist with knowledge of laboratory methods, techniques and standardsPatient-focused with good interpersonal skillsAbility to handle difficult situations with tact and empathyAbility to communicate effectively; local language skills are a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
