The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens from patients in accordance with established standards and regulations. They must be able to handle blood samples from adults, children, and infants using the appropriate collection techniques.The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in clinical laboratory operations, including phlebotomy, as well as knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of specimen collection. They must possess excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and the ability to work independently.ResponsibilitiesCollect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniquesLabel specimens correctly following established protocolsEnsure that all safety precautions are followed during specimen collectionMaintain a clean and organized work environmentHandle supplies and equipment necessary for specimen collection efficientlyVerify patient information accurately before collecting specimensFollow proper infection control procedures while handling specimensMonitor temperature of storage area for specimens as neededRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalentCertification as a Phlebotomist by an accredited agency is preferred but not required2+ years of experience in clinical laboratory operations including phlebotomyExcellent customer service skillsWe are open to consider immigrant candidates who meet the job requirements.
