Permit coordinator

Job SummaryResponsible for implementation of the permit to work system at work locations and ensuring compliance.Coordinates with permit applicant and permit authorities for PTW endorsements and participates in work permit co-ordination meetings with all PTW holders.Collect all information from PTW holder prior to 48 Hrs and initiate the permit, identify the hazards, and control measures for the task being planned.Ensures strict implementation of PTW rules at work locations.Ensures all PTW holders are collecting the planned permit and coordinate with permit controller for further activities at site.Audits the Permit to Work Procedure and ensure compliance daily.Providing a quality check on the completion of permits and certificates and ensuring all the necessary signatures have been obtained.Maintaining the permit coordination display board daily.Taking a lead role in ensuring the SIMOPs is not compromised by the issue of conflicting permits.Manage and coordinate all permit issuance in line with the site safety requirements.Ensuring that PTW updates/changes are effectively communicated to all relevant personnel.Takes part and contributes meaningfully during PTW review meetings.Ensure a PTW tracking system is in place. Keeps track of valid work permits and ensures closure of work permits on completion of work. Ensures expired work permits are closed, cancelled, or renewed as the case may be.Co-ordinate with design department and request client for GIS drawings for applying excavation certificates in advance.For civil permits: prepare and apply excavation certificates in different stages, e.g., Manual, Jack hammer, Mechanical; then client will arrange joint site with concerned and endorse accordingly.
