Job DescriptionAldar Education is seeking a PE Technician to join Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi, commencing in the 2026–2027 academic year. Since our establishment in 2009, we have built and maintained a strong reputation for excellence, consistently achieving an “Outstanding” ADEK rating since 2015. In August 2025, Muna British Academy relocated to a state‑of‑the‑art campus in the prestigious Saadiyat Lagoons community. This relocation marks the next exciting chapter in our journey and offers an unparalleled opportunity for our community to grow and thrive in a premier educational setting.As we continue to expand our secondary year groups in the upcoming academic year, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the highly successful Aldar family of schools and contribute to shaping the future of Abu Dhabi’s leading educational group.Successful candidates will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and will demonstrate a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values and culture of the region.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesResources and AdministrationPrepare lesson materials as requiredBook transportation for fixtures and confirm logisticsOrganise refreshments for sports events and fixturesUpdate and maintain PE noticeboards and manage lost property returnsManage the Sports Department inbox and handle general telephone/email correspondenceCommunicate daily with parents and other schools regarding fixture logisticsAttend department meetings and take minutesLiaise with Facilities and Operations teams regarding PE requirementsUpdate SOCS with fixture details, team sheets, venue maps, scores, and coach infoProduce reports and participation data, including win/loss ratios and CCA engagementSupport school communications and marketing (e.g., match reports and photos for newsletters/social media)Technical AssistanceSet up and clear away sports equipment for lessons, CCAs, and eventsMaintain tidy and organized PE storesPerform regular maintenance on sports equipment and kitWash bibs and team kits as neededOrder and maintain appropriate stock levels of sports materials and equipmentClean and safely store all resources in line with school policies and safety proceduresGeneral DutiesAssist with the planning and execution of internal and external sports events, fixtures, and tournaments (including weekends)Support venue hire bookings by setting up/remove equipment and providing on‑site assistancePromote child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities, and confidentialityRespond effectively to student needs and promote positive interactions and sportsmanshipSupport in lessons, CCAs, fixtures, trips, and events as requiredAssist with all campus events related to the Sports FacilitiesQualificationsMinimum Years of Experience RequiredMinimumExperience as an administrator or in a similar roleDesirableExperience working in a school environmentExperience working in sports or leisure administrationNature Of Relevant Experience RequiredAbility to work in a busy environmentTeam player willing to take on a wide variety of tasksAble to communicate effectively with both children and staffLanguage SkillsFluent in written and spoken EnglishSpecial Skills & AbilitiesExcellent communication and organisational skillsAdvanced Microsoft 365 skills, including mail mergeAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tablesStrong numeracy skillsHigh attention to detailProfessional telephone mannerDiscretion and sensitivityWillingness to participate enthusiastically in all aspects of school lifeDemonstrates common sense and initiativeAbility to relate effectively to staff and studentsAbility to motivate othersFlexibility to adapt to change and developmentKeen interest in sport and fitnessAldar Education is a family of world‑class, child‑centred, and innovative schools based in the UAE.
