Payables Accountant

OverviewWe are hiring! Our client is seeking an experienced Payables Accountant looking to join a prestigious international law firm in the UAE. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a top-tier law firm known for its global presence and commitment to excellence.ResponsibilitiesManage the full cycle accounts payable process ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.Review and verify invoices purchase orders and expense reports for accuracy and adherence to company policies.Prepare and process payments to vendors and suppliers in accordance with established procedures.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records including contact information and payment terms.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve payment-related inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.Assist in month-end closing activities including accruals and reconciliations.Contribute to process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the accounts payable function.Assist with other accounting tasks and projects as assigned.QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.Minimum of 23 years of experience in accounts payable preferably within a law firm or legal practice.Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.Familiarity with UAE accounting standards and practices is preferred.Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.If you are a detail-oriented and results-driven professional seeking a challenging role in a prestigious law firm we want to hear from you!
