Job Description
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Accounts Payable Accountant to manage the company’s payable processes and ensure accurate, timely processing of vendor invoices and payments.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in accounts payable, vendor reconciliation, and financial controls, preferably within a trading or automotive environment. This role requires high attention to detail, strong coordination with internal departments, and the ability to maintain compliance with company policies and financial procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable OperationsProcess and verify supplier invoices ensuring accuracy and completenessPerform 3‑way matching (LPO, GRN, and Invoice) prior to payment processingMaintain and update accounts payable ledgerPrepare and process payment runs (cheques, bank transfers, online payments)Ensure timely payments in accordance with agreed payment termsVendor Management & ReconciliationReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesCoordinate with procurement and warehouse teams on invoice or GRN issuesMaintain accurate vendor records and documentationRespond to vendor queries in a timely and professional mannerFinancial Controls & ReportingEnsure compliance with internal controls, policies, and proceduresAssist in month‑end closing activities related to payablesPrepare AP aging reports and highlight overdue balancesMonitor and track outstanding liabilitiesCompliance & AuditEnsure proper documentation and audit trail for all payable transactionsSupport internal and external audits by providing required documentationEnsure compliance with applicable financial regulations and accounting standards (IFRS preferred)SkillsQualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum 3–5 years of experience in Accounts PayableStrong understanding of AP processes, reconciliations, and financial controlsExperience in trading or automotive industry is highly preferredProficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar)Advanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelHigh attention to detail and accuracyPreferred QualificationsExperience working in Qatar or GCC regionKnowledge of local financial regulations and compliance requirementsProfessional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) is an advantageCompetenciesStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to meet deadlines and handle high-volume transactionsGood communication and coordination skillsProblem‑solving and analytical mindsetHigh level of integrity and confidentiality#J-18808-Ljbffr
