The role holder assists the Group Legal Department with managing legal risk in all the geographies where FAB operates in relation to the relevant business activities in accordance with FAB Group legal policies and procedures. The role holder works closely with the General Counsel or relevant lawyers in the Group Legal Department and regularly seeks input from the relevant lawyers in their team on new subjects unusual situations complex matters and issues which may pose significant legal, financial and/or reputational risk to the FAB Group.Core ResponsibilitiesLitigationMaintaining the central record of all of FAB Groups litigationPreparation of the various FAB Group Litigation Reports for senior management and auditorsPreparation of other litigationrelated reports required by other head office functions and committeesTrademarksManaging FABs global trademark portfolioArranging new trademark applicationsManaging trademark oppositions in close cooperation with FABs external trademark agentPanel FirmsMaintains the list of FABs panel law firmsSupporting the onboarding of panel law firms as well as the updating of the banks process to keep KYC data related to these firms updatedCoordinates and keeps record of the UAE local litigation panel reviewSupporting the panel firm review and updating processLegal SubscriptionsManaging all of the Group Legal Departments subscriptions for legal professionals such as the Official Gazette Mohamoon Westlaw Practical LawBudgetSupporting with managing the Group Legal budgetOverseeing:the processing all invoices from law firms on behalf of the Group Legal Departmentthe preparation the monthly accruals report of outstanding law firm invoicesthe conducting of data analysis on invoice data related to law firm invoicesInternal Risk Management ProcessesCoordinates and prepares the annual RCSA process for the Group Legal DepartmentCoordinates and prepares the annual BCM process for the Group Legal DepartmentCoordinates and prepares the annual BIA process for the Group Legal DepartmentDepartment Balance ScorecardMaintains the balance scorecard of the departmentSpecial ProjectsProvides broad support to the Group General Counsel as well as the wider Group Legal Department on special legal projects that require support#LIMA3QualificationsMinimum QualificationBachelors degree in law.Excellent English language skills.Ability to read write and communicate in Arabic is beneficial but not mandatory.Minimum ExperienceMinimum of 2 years experience in a reputed bank or law firm.Remote Work :NoEmployment Type :Fulltime#J-18808-Ljbffr
