The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing all paint-shop operations related to carbon fiber components and high-end aesthetic finishes. The role ensures superior surface quality, adherence to specifications, and efficient work-flow across preparation, painting, and finishing processes, particularly for industries such as aerospace, marine, and automotive composites.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><h3>1. Paintshop Operations Management</h3><ul><li>Supervise daily paintshop activities including surface preparation, priming, painting, and clear coating.</li><li>Plan and allocate work orders to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines.</li><li>Ensure proper utilization of paint booths, curing ovens, and related equipment.</li><li>Monitor workflow efficiency and implement improvements.</li></ul><h3>2. Carbon Fiber Surface Preparation&Finishing</h3><ul><li>Oversee preparation of carbon fiber parts including sanding, filling, polishing, and surface correction.</li><li>Ensure preservation of carbon weave aesthetics and visual alignment.</li><li>Manage high-end finishes such as:<ul><li>Gloss / matte clear coat</li><li>Exposed carbon finishes</li><li>Cosmetic composite surfaces (Class A finish)</li></ul></li><li>Ensure defect‑free surfaces (no pinholes, air bubbles, fiber distortion, or sanding marks).</li></ul><h3>3. Aesthetic Quality Control</h3><ul><li>Enforce strict quality standards for visual appearance and surface perfection.</li><li>Conduct inspections for:<ul><li>Orange peel</li><li>Runs/sags</li><li>Dust contamination</li><li>Color mismatch</li></ul></li><li>Coordinate with Quality Department for FAI, MSA, and PPAP requirements where applicable.</li><li>Approve final finish before release to next stage or delivery.</li></ul><h3>4. Materials&Process Control</h3><ul><li>Manage and monitor use of:<ul><li>Paints</li><li>Primers</li><li>Clear coats</li><li>Resins</li><li>Solvents</li></ul></li><li>Ensure correct mix ratios, curing times, and application techniques.</li><li>Maintain documentation for batch traceability and material usage.</li><li>Optimize paint consumption and minimize waste.</li></ul><h3>5. Team Leadership&Training</h3><ul><li>Lead and supervise paint technicians and finishers.</li><li>Provide hands‑on training in:<ul><li>Carbon finishing techniques</li><li>Spray gun control and application methods</li><li>Surface correction and polishing</li></ul></li><li>Evaluate team performance and enforce discipline and safety.</li></ul><h3>6. Equipment&Maintenance</h3><ul><li>Ensure proper operation and maintenance of:<ul><li>Spray guns</li><li>Paint booths</li><li>Air filtration systems</li><li>Ovens and curing systems</li></ul></li><li>Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules.</li></ul><h3>7.
