<div><h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Packaging Strategy Development:Design and implement packaging strategies that align with company goals, product requirements and market demands.</li><li>Packaging Optimization:Evaluate existing packaging processes and materials to identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements and sustainability.</li><li>Material Selection:Research and recommend appropriate packaging materials based on product type, shipping requirements and environmental impact.</li><li>Sustainability Initiatives:Lead efforts to reduce packaging waste and improve the environmental footprint by introducing sustainable packaging solutions such as recyclable, biodegradable, or reusable materials.</li><li>Cost Analysis:Conduct cost-benefit analyses of different packaging solutions ensuring that packaging choices are both cost-effective and aligned with business objectives.</li><li>Quality Assurance:Work with production teams to ensure packaging meets quality standards and provides adequate protection for products during storage and transit.</li><li>Supply Chain Coordination:Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers and logistics teams to ensure packaging is optimized for supply chain efficiency.</li><li>Compliance and Regulatory Standards:Ensure all packaging designs and processes comply with relevant legal regulatory and industry standards (e.g. FDA, EPA, ISO).</li><li>Testing&Prototyping:Oversee or conduct testing of new packaging solutions to ensure they meet performance standards durability and safety requirements.</li><li>Training and Support:Provide guidance and training to internal teams (e.g. design, production and logistics) on new packaging systems and best practices.</li><li>Reporting&Documentation:Prepare and present reports on packaging performance cost analysis and recommendations to senior management.</li></ul><h3>Requirements:</h3><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Packaging Engineering Industrial Design Materials Science or a related field (Masters degree preferred).</li><li>Proven experience as a Packaging Consultant, Packaging Engineer or in a similar packaging-related role (typically 5 years).</li><li>Strong knowledge of packaging materials design principles and production processes.</li><li>Expertise in sustainable packaging solutions and green packaging technologies.</li><li>Proficiency in packaging design software (e.g. ArtiosCAD, PackSoft or SolidWorks).</li><li>Excellent understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. FDA, EPA, ISO standards).</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.</li><li>Project management experience including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Ability to work cross-functionally with teams across departments including design, manufacturing and logistics.</li><li>Experience working with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and manage packaging production.</li></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Certification in packaging (e.g. Certified Packaging Professional CPP).</li><li>Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management including the impact of packaging on shipping and warehousing costs.</li><li>Familiarity with automated packaging systems and technologies.</li><li>Experience with international packaging requirements and global supply chains.</li></ul><h3>Working Conditions:</h3><ul><li>Full-time position with some travel required for supplier meetings, site visits or product testing.</li><li>Potential to work remotely or in-office based on company policy.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
