Packaging Associate

<div><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li><p><b>Product Packaging:</b>Safely package products using the appropriate materials ensuring items are secure for transport or storage.</p></li><li><p><b>Labeling&Documentation:</b>Accurately label packages with product details shipping information and any required regulatory information.</p></li><li><p><b>Inspection:</b>Inspect finished products for quality assurance ensuring there are no defects or damage before packing.</p></li><li><p><b>Assembly of Packaging Materials:</b>Assemble boxes cartons bags or other packaging components as required following standard operating procedures (SOPs).</p></li><li><p><b>Inventory Management:</b>Maintain accurate records of packaging materials used and report inventory levels to supervisors. Assist in stock rotation to ensure the proper materials are available.</p></li><li><p><b>Machine Operation:</b>Operate basic packaging machinery (e.g. sealing machines labelers) as required ensuring the equipment runs smoothly and safely.</p></li><li><p><b>Quality Control:</b>Ensure compliance with product specifications and packaging standards to meet company quality standards and regulations.</p></li><li><p><b>Safety Compliance:</b>Follow all health and safety guidelines maintaining a clean and safe working environment.</p></li><li><p><b>Team Collaboration:</b>Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and ensure timely shipping of products.</p></li><li><p><b>Shipping Prep:</b>Prepare packages for shipment by organizing them on pallets or in designated areas ensuring proper labeling and documentation for dispatch.</p></li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li><p>High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).</p></li><li><p>Previous experience in a packaging assembly or warehouse role is a plus.</p></li><li><p>Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to XX lbs).</p></li><li><p>Strong attention to detail and accuracy in packaging.</p></li><li><p>Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.</p></li><li><p>Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask.</p></li><li><p>Basic mathematical skills for counting and verifying inventory.</p></li><li><p>Ability to operate basic packaging equipment and tools (training may be provided).</p></li><li><p>Basic computer skills (<b>data entry</b>for inventory management or labeling).</p></li></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3><ul><li><p>Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with safety regulations in a warehouse or production environment.</p></li><li><p>Forklift certification (if applicable).</p></li><li><p>Experience with automated packaging machines or conveyor systems.</p></li></ul><h3>Physical Requirements</h3><ul><li><p>Ability to stand for long periods.</p></li><li><p>Frequent lifting bending and reaching.</p></li><li><p>Ability to lift up to XX lbs depending on the nature of the product.</p></li><li><p>Comfortable working in a warehouse or production environment with exposure to noise temperature variations or other environmental factors.</p></li></ul><h3>Working Conditions</h3><ul><li><p>Full-time position with shift hours e.g. 8-hour shifts overtime availability.</p></li><li><p>Possible weekend shifts depending on production requirements.</p></li><li><p>May require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves safety goggles and ear protection.</p></li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
