Operator - Ammonia Refrigeration Plant

OverviewThe Ammonia Refrigeration Plant Operator is responsible for all activities involving operation and maintenance of the plant utilities inclusive of the ammonia refrigeration system, packaged units, and HVAC and all supporting equipment.Your ResponsibilitiesMaintain the ammonia refrigeration system, packaged refrigeration units, and any other supporting equipmentEnsure continuous operation of all the facility systems and equipment, and maintain facility conditionsCoordinate operations and maintenance equipmentCoordinate both internal and external resources for the maintenance of the facilityAssist in technical analysis and provide real-time data on the status of refrigeration and operational equipmentWork with the water treatment supplier to assure the equipment is operating correctlyEnsure the ammonia compressors are operating safely and efficiently to reduce energy consumptionPerform preventative maintenance on equipmentTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbingHandle maintenance emergencies as and when requiredComplete duties in accordance with quality assurance, Good Manufacturing Practices, safety and other company procedures, and in accordance with government regulationsMaintain a safe work areaResponsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination, leakages and suspicious activity to a supervisor immediatelyYour QualificationsDiploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field3 years of experience working with Ammonia refrigerationYour ProficienciesAmmonia refrigeration certificationCertificate in HVACKnowledge of equipment set-up, operating procedures and preventative maintenance techniquesExperience working in a maintenance department#J-18808-Ljbffr
