<div><h3>Company Description</h3><p><b>THE CLIENT</b>: An authority formed by Gulf States; Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE, Oman and Qatar.</p><p><b>LOCATION</b>: Dammam, Saudi Arabia</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><b>REPORTS TO:</b>Operational Planning Section Head</p><h3>Key Role</h3><p>Ensure system reliability during network operations and power exchanges through effective operational studies. Handle short term and medium term planning for performance optimization.</p><ul><li>Periodically update and validate Network Model to be used for Operational Studies.</li><li>Perform operational planning studies for the combined system such as load flow, short circuit, transient and dynamic stability assessment studies</li><li>Perform various engineering studies related to the performance of the system including HVDC during disturbances and critical events</li><li>Analyze network performance and recommend plans for optimization of the network to ensure stability and security of the combined system through effective short and medium term system planning</li><li>Analyse the impact of critical outages and determine required availability and reserves to ensure reliability and optimization of the combined system</li><li>Analyse the impact of power exchanges across the interconnector</li><li>Analyse the adequacy of the system dynamic and protection response</li><li>Post analysis of major incidents, reproduction of the incident through simulation and recommendations to avoid future occurrence</li><li>Calculate net transfer capacities (NTC) through system studies</li><li>Determine impact of future plans on systems and the overall reliability of the transmission systems</li><li>Provide Full report writing and technical study furnishings.</li><li>Review new project Scope of Work and Technical Specification and provide feedback</li><li>Review results of system studies done by Consultants or other departments and provide feedback</li><li>Review consultant’s reports, provide feedback and ensure compliance with policies and procedures</li><li>Review draft procedures and provide feedback for improvement</li><li>Assist Senior OP Engineer to prepare Summer&Winter reports covering all aspects of operations to meet summer and winter demand requirements to enumerate the operating conditions/constraints, which need to be applied in these periods.</li><li>Assist Senior OP Engineer to prepare contingency plan report incorporating the optimum system configuration and preventive/corrective actions and guidelines for real-time operation.</li><li>Should be able to cover the essential duties of Operational Planning Engineer and Senior OP Engineer during their absence</li><li>Adherence to the code of conduct</li></ul><h3>KPIs</h3><ul><li>Stability and security of the systems</li><li>Feasibility of the plans</li><li>Accuracy of the studies</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><h3>Education, Experience, Skills</h3><ul><li>Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Electrical Engineering</li><li>Network operations and operational planning</li><li>Familiar with software tools for power system analysis include PSS/E</li><li>Power System Operation Experience</li><li>Power System StudiesExperience</li><li>Power TransmissionExperience</li><li>7 years of relevant experience</li><li>Time Management</li><li>Technology Integration</li><li>Planning and Organization</li><li>Managing Control Process</li><li>Coordination- Getting Things Done</li><li>Optimization of Future Capacity – Planning Ahead</li><li>Monitoring and Taking Corrective Action</li><li>Selecting, Designing and Developing New Solutions</li><li>Attention to Detail</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
