OHS Executive — Food Safety&ISO 45001 Expert

<p>The<strong>OHS Executive</strong>is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves implementing safety policies, ensuring compliance with local regulations, minimizing workplace hazards, and promoting a strong safety culture within the organization.</p><p>In addition to food safety, the role also supports safety within the roastery, assisting in inspections, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. By combining a strong focus on food safety with proactive health and safety practices, the OHS Executive ensures both product integrity and employee well-being, contributing to overall operational excellence.</p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p><strong><u>Occupational Health&Safety – Coffee Planet LLC&Jigsaw Roastery</u></strong></p><p><strong>Health&Safety Compliance</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations and standards (e.g., municipality, labor laws, HACCP requirements).</li><li>Monitor adherence to internal HSE policies and procedures.</li><li>Conduct regular safety inspections across the business unit of Coffee Planet LLC&JigsawRoastery</li><li>Develop and maintain ISO 45001 documentation (Occupational Health and Safety Management System).</li><li>Coordinate and support ISO 45001 certification and audit processes</li><li>Able to manage internal and external audits</li><li>Identify workplace hazards and conduct risk assessments.</li><li>Develop and implement control measures to minimize risks.</li><li>Maintain risk assessment records and update them periodically.</li><li>Conduct safety induction training for new employees.</li><li>Organize regular safety training sessions (fire safety, food safety, PPE usage, emergency response).</li><li>Promote awareness of hygiene and sanitation standards.</li><li>Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses.</li><li>Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>Track and analyze incident trends to prevent recurrence</li><li>Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000).</li><li>Monitor hygiene practices in food handling, preparation, and storage.</li><li>Coordinate with Food Safety Executive&QA/QC teams for audits and inspections.</li><li>Assist HR Manager in any relevant role and in enforcing OHS policies and ensuring workplace safety compliance</li><li>Point of contact across the business unit of Coffee Planet LLC&Jigsaw Roastery in terms of Health&Safety.</li><li>Develop and implement emergency response and evacuation plans.</li><li>Conduct fire drills and evacuation exercises.</li><li>Ensure availability and maintenance of safety equipment (fire extinguishers, first aid kits, alarms).</li></ul><p><strong>Documentation&Reporting</strong></p><ul><li>Maintains HSE records, permits, and reports.</li><li>Prepare monthly safety performance reports.</li><li>Assist during internal and external audits.</li><li>Recommend improvements in safety procedures and workplace conditions.</li><li>Support sustainability and environmental health initiatives.</li><li>Stay updated with new safety regulations and industry best practices</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS&EXPERIENCE</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in occupational health&safety, Environmental Science, or related field</li><li>2–5 years of experience in HSE, preferably in F&B, hospitality, or manufacturing.</li><li>HACCP Certification</li><li>First Aid&Fire Safety Training</li><li>Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and food safety standards</li><li>Excellent observation and risk assessment skills</li><li>Good communication and training abilities</li><li>Attention to detail and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to handle emergencies calmly</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools</li></ul>#J-18808-Ljbffr
