About the job OFFSHORE STRUCTURAL DESIGNERWe are seeking an experienced Offshore Structural Designer to support FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detailed Design for offshore oil & gas projects in the UAE. The role focuses on drilling rigs and rig refurbishment projects. Extensive offshore experience is mandatory, with proven exposure to offshore structures and drilling rigs. Experience working on Saudi Aramco offshore projects is highly preferred and will be a key advantage.Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare structural design deliverables including general arrangement drawings, structural layouts, framing plans, details, and fabrication drawingsSupport FEED and Detailed Engineering activities in compliance with project specifications, offshore standards, and design criteriaDevelop and review structural calculations, design reports, and material take-offs for offshore structuresPrepare and review structural specifications and data sheets for offshore steel structures and secondary steelEnsure compliance with international offshore structural codes and standards such as API, AISC, ISO, DNV, and project-specific requirementsCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams (process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and layout) to ensure integrated and clash-free designsSupport offshore drilling rig refurbishment and brownfield modification projects, including strengthening and structural upgradesParticipate in model reviews, design reviews, HAZID/HAZOPs, and client meetingsSupport vendor and fabricator document reviews and respond to technical queriesProvide structural design support during fabrication, offshore installation, construction, commissioning, and as-built documentationKey QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering or equivalentMinimum 10 years of offshore structural design experience, including offshore drilling rigs and refurbishment projectsSaudi Aramco offshore project experience (preferred)Strong knowledge of FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detailed Design executionExperience with offshore steel structures, primary and secondary steel, and structural strengtheningProficiency in structural design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Tekla, STAAD, SACS, or equivalentExperience in multidisciplinary coordination and vendor/fabricator interfacesStrong communication and teamwork skills in an offshore engineering environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
