Job Description

Primary Purpose of the JobPerform general maintenance and repair activities (hands‑on) on all mechanical equipment in Idd El Shargi Asset / PWHF Halul, in a safe and efficient manner; maximize productivity through the effective use of all available resources. Closely work with colleagues in own and other departments to accomplish effective cross training.Principal AccountabilitiesExecute all mechanical maintenance activities on PS1 equipment, including day‑to‑day works, preventative and corrective maintenance, routine and non‑routine, breakdown and shutdown. Equipment includes pumps (centrifugal, reciprocating, vertical, horizontal), centrifugal and screw type compressors, gas turbines, gearboxes, diesel engines, cranes (pedestal and electric overhead traveling), hydraulic systems, potable water treatment plants, relief valves, process valves (all types).Remove, reinstall and commission above mentioned mechanical equipment in case of complete overhauls or replacements.Participate in multidisciplinary maintenance and repair activities.Troubleshoot equipment failures and performance issues.Adequately utilize materials and spare parts for the execution of the works, help the supervisor in the identification and specification of the various parts and materials required for the works.Report all accidents and near‑misses to supervisor and participate in accident and incident investigations as requested.Attend HSE and technical training as deemed necessary by the company.Carry out general housekeeping clean up in area of execution of works.Decision Making AuthorityTo demonstrate an adequate level of initiative, in job planning and execution. Be capable of mentoring with an aptitude to contribute and be a good team member.Context / Special Features / ChallengesA team‑player attitude is of high importance during the time spent at work.Cooperation with other fellow workers of his own department as well as from other departments is a key element for the overall effectiveness of the operation.Be fully conversant with station emergency and operating procedures and all relevant statutory regulations be aware of and adhere to such regulations so as to develop a safe and efficient working environment.Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / ExperienceMinimum EducationMinimum of Secondary education plus two years of studies on technical mechanical matters for industrial applications, gas and air compressors, centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, valves, gearboxes, diesel engines. Certificates and/or diploma granted by an officially recognized educational institution in the relevant country.Minimum ExperienceMinimum of five years relevant hands‑on experience in the petrochemical industry, preferably with intervention in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment utilized in offshore installations, such as gas turbines and diesel engines for electric power generation, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, reciprocating and screw type air compressors, cranes, gas compressors, etc.Knowledgeable in alignment of rotating equipment, vibration monitoring routines and interpretation.Experienced in installation, troubleshooting and repair works of above‑mentioned mechanical equipment.Experienced in the utilization of work and safety procedures such as permit‑to‑work systems and lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.Able to read P&ID’s and other typical mechanical equipment related drawings and documents.Experienced in using SAP software system.Interested candidates may share their updated resume to – (emailprotected)#J-18808-Ljbffr
