Job Description Role Overview:
As a Key Account Manager at Valeo, your main responsibility will be to ensure the competitiveness and full-compliance of Valeo offers with the expectations and requirements of the customers. You will drive negotiations during the business acquisition process, prepare budgets, manage selling prices, and operational responsibilities at the regional level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and understand all customers' requirements by working closely with project teams
- Set sales price objectives based on market knowledge and competitors' positions
- Implement pricing strategy in the CAA and ensure global pricing consistency with KAMs in other regions
- Take necessary actions to submit competitive quotations technically and economically within deadlines
- Participate in project teams to represent the customer's viewpoint regarding quality, costs, and delivery times
- Educate customers on new technologies/products to enhance the attractiveness of offers
- Align and customize customer messages with the Project Management team
- Provide commercial insights and guide customers towards recommended actions during negotiations
- Keep the PG organization informed of negotiation status and competition's status on all global aspects of the offer
- Review and negotiate new contracts with customers in accordance with group policies and CAAs
- Manage turnover and prepare budgets for the customer(s)
- Negotiate prices in case of modifications and market effects, build productivity plans, and ensure price updates with Sales Administration
- Handle customer relationships during claims and logistic/quality crises and take actions to reduce overdue
Qualification Required:
- Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or relevant role in the automotive industry
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive business acquisition processes
- Excellent understanding of market dynamics and customer requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in budget preparation and management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
