As part of the M42 network, Amana is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to the needs of individuals requiring complex or extended recovery support.Reporting to the Manager of Rehabilitation, the Occupational Therapist - Paediatrics provides specialized, evidence-based therapy services for infants, children, and adolescents. The role supports developmental, sensory, cognitive, and functional growth, ensuring child-centered and family-focused care while adhering to M42 and DOH/DHA policies and standards.ResponsibilitiesInterpret referrals and conduct comprehensive developmental assessments.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on standardized and dynamic assessments.Assess and treat challenges related to:Fine and gross motor skillsSensory processing and sensory integrationVisual-motor integrationDIR/FloortimeImplement sensory integration therapy techniques.Create customized home programs and collaborate closely with parents/caregivers.Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive technology when needed.Monitor developmental progress and modify intervention plans accordingly.Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and goal setting.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.Minimum 6 years of pediatric OT experience in a large hospital setting.DOH/DHA License or eligibility.Strong knowledge of child development and sensory integration principles.Excellent communication and family engagement skills.PreferredCertification in Sensory Integration.Experience in cognitive rehabilitation for children.Experience in school-based therapy programs.Training in alternate access or assistive communication devices.#J-18808-Ljbffr
