This role focuses on Fortinet next‑generation firewalls and Cisco routing, switching, and wireless technologies, ensuring robust security and high availability for critical infrastructure.Detailed Job DescriptionAs a Network & Security Support Engineer, you will manage L2 incidents, perform routine changes, and maintain proactive hygiene across network and security devices. You will work extensively with Forti Gate NGFWs, VPN configurations, Cisco routing/switching, and wireless technologies. The role also involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing best practices for updates and vulnerability remediation.✅ Key ResponsibilitiesOperate Forti Gate NGFWs, configure policies, NAT/VPN (IPsec/SSL), and SD‑WAN.Support Cisco core/access switching, routing protocols (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP), VLANs, STP, Qo S, and WLC operations.Monitor network links and devices, analyze logs, and maintain configuration backups.Triage and resolve L2 tickets; implement standard changes (rules, VLANs, VPNs).Apply best practices for updates and vulnerability remediation on network/security devices.Document RCAs and update runbooks for operational excellence.Required Qualifications & SkillsMinimum 4 years of experience supporting enterprise networks and firewalls (Fortinet preferred) and Cisco routing/switching.Hands‑on experience with firewall policies, VPNs, UTM features, and Forti Manager/Forti Analyzer workflows.Strong understanding of L2/L3 networking, subnetting, ACLs, NAT, DHCP/DNS fundamentals.Familiarity with ITIL processes and documentation standards.✨ Preferred SkillsCertifications: Fortinet NSE 4/5 (or higher) and Cisco CCNA/CCNP.Exposure to WAF, Prisma, or other NGFW stacks for cross‑coverage.Experience with automation tools for network monitoring and configuration.Recruitment Pro TipHighlight your Fortinet and Cisco expertise along with any relevant certifications (NSE, CCNP) in your CV.
