IT is the UK based business with global headquarters in Dubai, UAE and Regional headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.About Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Network & Security Engineer to lead and execute large-scale firmware upgrades, network switch upgrades, and ACL optimization across multiple enterprise locations.The engineer will be responsible for ensuring seamless firmware patching cycles, minimizing downtime, maintaining network integrity, and aligning with cybersecurity best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesFortinet Firewall UpgradesPerform firmware upgrades for Fortinet Firewalls across 62 locationsConduct pre-upgrade health checks and compatibility validationBackup configurations and ensure rollback plans are documentedExecute upgrades during approved change windowsPerform post-upgrade validation and performance testingEnsure HA cluster stability (if applicable)Huawei Network Switch Firmware UpgradesUpgrade firmware for 300+ Huawei switch stacksValidate stack configurations and redundancy prior to upgradeVerify routing, VLANs, STP, and trunk configurations post-upgradeACL Fine-Tuning & OptimizationReview and fine-tune Access Control Lists (ACLs) across 20 sitesIdentify redundant, shadowed, or conflicting rulesImprove rule efficiency and network security postureCoordinate with Security & SOC teams for validationEnsure changes comply with enterprise security policyPatching Cycle ManagementTwo structured patching cycles will be executed:Cycle 1: March – July (120 Days)Cycle 2: October – November (60 Days)Responsibilities include:Detailed patching schedule planningChange management coordinationExecution tracking and reportingFinal cycle completion report submissionRequired Technical SkillsStrong hands‑on experience with Fortinet Firewalls (FortiGate)Experience upgrading HA clusters and distributed firewall environmentsDeep knowledge of Huawei Enterprise SwitchesVLANs, STP, RSTP, MSTPOSPF, BGP (preferred)ACL optimization and security hardeningExperience in large‑scale multi‑site enterprise environmentsFamiliarity with change management and ITIL processesStrong troubleshooting and rollback planning skillsCertifications (Preferred)Fortinet NSE 4 / NSE 7Huawei HCIP / HCIE (Routing & Switching or Security)CCNP / CCIE (preferred)ITIL FoundationExperience Required5+ years in enterprise network/security engineeringExperience handling high‑availability production environmentsSoft SkillsStrong documentation and reporting capabilityAbility to work under tight patching windowsRisk‑aware and detail‑orientedAble to work in night/weekend maintenance windowsOther DetailsExperience: 5 years+Education: Bachelors in Information security, cyber security etcLocation: Abu DhabiTimings: 9am - 5pm (onsite)Salary: Market CompetitiveEmployment Nature: 6 months Contract based.#J-18808-Ljbffr
