Position OverviewWe are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Middle School Arabic B Teachers to join our dedicated team from August 2025.This is an exciting opportunity for educators who are passionate about Middle School Arabic education and eager to contribute to the academic success of our students.Job PurposeTo ensure that each student achieves academic success, develops a lifelong love of learning, and becomes a responsible citizen in a global community. This goal will be accomplished through the offering of an enriched American curriculum taught by a highly qualified faculty committed to motivating students and working in partnership with parents.Key ResponsibilitiesEmbrace and encourage the ethos and standards of excellence as defined in the GEMS Core Values.Ensure that GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are followed at all times.Model and encourage a culture of kindness.Display a wide variety of developmentally appropriate teaching strategies that meet individual student needs and abilities:o Effectively meet the learning needs of late‑entering students, ESL students, students with low academic ability and those who are gifted and talented;o Skillfully use verbal and non‑verbal communications;o Preview and communicate learning objectives to students in a clear, logical and sequential manner.Display evidence of superior preparation for classroom instruction:o Use appropriate examples and illustrations to motivate ALL students;o Create and utilize appropriate materials for instructional purposes;o Assess and adjust the classroom environment to provide for a variety of learning styles;o Provide a variety of information which enriches the curriculum;o Draw from a variety of instructional resources to enhance lessons, instruction, and content based on DAA standards;o Show written evidence of preparation upon request.Display competence and confidence in using media and technology:o Effectively use computer instruction for both self and students to integrate and enhance classroom lessons;o Seek ongoing instructional technology staff development opportunities.Plan and implement strategies that encourage student self‑discipline, reinforce appropriate behavior, manage disruptive behavior constructively and allow for grouping of students in the most efficient way to support learning objectives:o Be skillful in keeping students on the learning task;o Be adaptive, flexible and creative in situations caused by a variety of individual student needs;o Monitor and supervise safe and appropriate student behavior at all times for ALL students throughout the school.Bring out the best in students by continually monitoring their work:o Return assessment results promptly, give written comments, and provide group and individual feedback on all assignments;o Provide specific evaluative feedback with reinforcement and encouragement.Motivate students to achieve beyond previous performance levels.Set high expectation standards that are appropriate for each student’s ability level.Model and encourage cultural awareness and understanding.Recognize the need for appropriate classroom humor.Display the ability to create and maintain enthusiasm for the love of learning.Demonstrate a concern for students and celebrate their accomplishments.Provide leadership in curriculum and instructional development:o Serve as a role model, take advantage of opportunities to learn from others and stay abreast of developments related to teaching;o Promote good working relationships with others through active leadership and sharing of ideas, materials, and experiences.Promote good rapport with students, staff, parents and community:o Respect the confidentiality of student and staff concerns;o Keep parents informed of their children’s progress.Establish and maintain records of curriculum and year plans, teaching resources and assessment tools relevant to DAA standards.Work cooperatively with colleagues in order to connect learning across subject disciplines.Demonstrate accurate and up‑to‑date knowledge of curriculum and subject matter.Maintain superior work attendance.Cooperatively adhere to school policies and implementing regulations.Recognize the importance of the after‑school activities program and assume responsibilities in that program.Be self‑motivated and assume responsibility willingly.Be willing to expend effort and energy beyond the typical school day where tasks require additional commitment.Communicate and meet with parents regularly promoting the GEMS philosophy and core values; keep parents regularly informed of students’ progress while respecting the confidentiality of student‑related information.Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required.Perform other duties as assigned.SkillsA university degree with teaching emphasis or completion of a teacher preparation program.Hold a professional teacher certification.Proven experience teaching Islamic at elementary school level, preferably within an American/IB curri
