We have strong relationships and work closely with executive leadership, including Managing Directors & Partners. In addition to providing exemplary support to our internal customers in the Middle East, we also collaborate with colleagues from other business regions and the firm’s corporate office. As a result, members of the team receive significant exposure to the overall business and develop networks and working relationships across the organization.ResponsibilitiesIndependently leading the vendor management function and a small teamDriving projects and initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, aimed at enhancing process efficiency, and the stakeholder experienceImplementing new policies and procedures aimed at achieving compliance with local and global guidelinesEvaluating new vendors, suppliers and experts and the work that they will providing BCGEvaluating performance across client industries and BCG service offeringsWorking with key finance stakeholders as well as Senior stakeholders to gather and document business requirementsUnderstanding potential supplier risks when engaging with contractorsConducting risk assessment for client facing contractors and highlight associated risks and recommend mitigation steps to Finance DirectorWriting up policies, reviewing contracts and pricing in alignment with global processes and proceduresOnboarding of new vendors via the Coupa system as well as overseeing the screening of new vendorsProviding support during audits and assisting the Tax and Compliance Director in reporting back to GlobalExplaining legal and contracting terminology in supplier contracts to business owners and stakeholdersUnderstanding the different types of supplier agreements and subcontracting processes, and advising stakeholders on the correct contracting processReviewing and negotiating contractual agreements prior to escalating to Legal TeamDrafting/reviewing contractual documents based on BCG contracting templates (i.e. Independent Contractors Agreements, Statement of Works, Amendment Agreements)You’Re Good AtProblem solving and analytical tasksConducts and leads strong analyses, gets insights and translates them to practical recommendationsDemonstrates good judgment in determining methods for obtaining solutionsDesire and flexibility to work through details with keen attention to accuracyNatural curiosity to understand how things work and why; policies, reports, internal systems and strategiesDesire to comprehend root causes when issues ariseComfortable working with ambiguity and in an iterative environmentCommunication, interpersonal and teaming skillsWorks positively and collaboratively with others and within team; builds strong and lasting relationshipsPossesses strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a growing teamAdapts style to changing situations and audiences with tact and patienceDemonstrates persistence to drive changeContributes to a positive and productive work environmentPartners with regional/global leaders to think through implications to certain issuesWork Management, organization, and planningAbility to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environmentStrong Organizational skills and process management skillsAbility to contribute to multiple work streams at once and prioritize efforts accordinglyDemonstrated ability to drive projects to scheduled conclusionWhat You’ll Bring8+ years of relevant experience in vendor managementLegal and compliance background as well as relevant experienceSound analytical and reporting skills combined with excellent communication skills; written and oralProven ability to work effectively in a global environment with people at all levels, preferably in a professional services organizationAdvanced computer literacyExperience with and exposure to data analytics, contract
