Job Description

Position SummaryResponsibilities include coordinating and supporting the construction, testing and commissioning interface work scope between the main building contractor and the MHS specialist installer, including integration of the MHS system within the overall Building Management System (BMS). The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in installation and commissioning of security screening equipment. The MHS Inspector will work closely with team members to ensure coordination and communication is achieved, attend and document workshops and meetings, and monitor and inspect works to assure conformance with project specifications and design intent.ResponsibilitiesCoordinating, inspecting, testing and commissioning works and interface activities between the main building contractor and the warehousing/material handling equipment installer.Reviewing related documents and drawings, including reviewing and approving technical submittals.Attending interface coordination meetings, documenting and following up to close out actions.Inspecting works at site as required and documenting quality actions for follow-up and close-out.Reviewing and maintaining detailed documentation of testing procedures, results, and system configurations to ensure accuracy and compliance.Overseeing integration of the MHS with the BMS to ensure functionality and compliance with design, standards, and specifications.Supporting troubleshooting of the MHS/BMS interfaces.Providing regular updates and reports.QualificationsDegree in Electrical, Electronic, Building Services Engineering or other relevant disciplines with knowledge of BMS architecture, hardware, and software, as well as various communication protocols.Installation experience in Material Handling System (MHS) and/or major automation systems.Minimum 7 years relevant experience with demonstrated experience in a coordination role.Team player with good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work under pressure.Excellent command of both spoken and written English.Good report writing and reporting skills are a must.Computer literate.Ability to develop positive working relationships with peers, clients, and other stakeholders.Candidates who demonstrate the above requirements, with the exception of having experience in installation of Baggage Handling Systems rather than Materials Handling System may also be considered for this role.#J-18808-Ljbffr
