OverviewJob Title: MEP TechnicianDepartment: Facility ManagementReporting To: MEP EngineerSite: ES- 1113Job Purpose:MEP Technician is responsible for ensuring that all Electrical Mechanical Plumbing HVAC equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment daily corrective work and emergency response to emergent issues. The Technician serves as an expert technical resource reporting and interacting with onsite Engineers and any third-party vendors.Data center technicians provide an array of technical support to an organizations data center. They help ensure that the servers are consistently running smoothly but when theyre not running smoothly data center technicians help problem solve and determine resolutions to avoid major downtime. With the virtual nature of data centers security reliability and availability are of utmost importanceKey ResponsibilitiesResponsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks and daily visual inspections on major data center equipment.Daily checking healthiness of all facilities equipments and keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.Repair and maintenance work on a wide range of Electrical Mechanical HVAC ELV equipment.Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility MEP systems.Maintain and operate all MEP related systems associated equipment electrical equipment building management system.Perform facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operations.Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment appliances and apparatus.Create the Job cards in CAFM (FSI) Mobile App as per Site requirements and close the Job cards on which Engineer assigns.Responding promptly and efficiently to emergency calls.Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken.Review and understand equipment and methods of operation Electrical systems ELV system fire/life safety and other systems.Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.Maintain essential stock of spare parts.Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required.Attend training sessions and seminars.Other assigned tasks as requested.Skills RequiredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.Outstanding customer service skillsProven ability to work effectively individually and with a team.Ability to follow oral and written instructions.QualificationsSecondary School CertificateOther RequirementsGood communication and coordination skills are essential.
