MEP Inspector

OverviewSupport the inspection and quality assurance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that MEP installations are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and industry standards.Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct site inspections of MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical installationsVerify contractor compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and local codesMonitor construction activities and report any deviations or non-conformancesCoordinate with contractors and project teams to resolve technical issuesReview MEP shop drawings, method statements, and material submittalsPrepare detailed daily inspection reports and maintain accurate recordsAssist in testing, commissioning, and handover processes for MEP systemsEnsure that work is performed in a safe and environmentally compliant mannerSupport project engineers with technical site inspections and documentationQualifications, Knowledge & SkillsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering from a recognized university with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experienceDiploma in a related engineering discipline from a recognized institution with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experienceSolid knowledge of MEP systems and construction practicesFamiliarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC, ASHRAE, etc.)Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical documentsStrong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality assuranceGood communication and reporting skillsComputer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar tools is a plusAbility to work effectively on-site in coordination with multi-disciplinary teams#J-18808-Ljbffr
