Job Description

Job PurposeTo manage and execute the procurement of construction-related materials, equipment, and services in a cost-effective and timely manner, while ensuring alignment with project requirements, company standards, and contractual obligations.Key Accountability AreasReview technical specifications, BOQs, and drawings to identify material requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors based on price, quality, delivery time, and compliance with project requirements.Prepare RFQs, analyze quotations, and negotiate commercial and technical terms with suppliers.Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring accuracy of terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to align material deliveries with project schedules.Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues related to delays, quality, or documentation.Maintain vendor records, and all procurement-related documentation.Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, project-specific requirements, and local/international procurement regulations.Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors to ensure long‑term value and reliability.Identify cost‑saving opportunities, suggest alternate materials or sources, and support value engineering initiatives.Role AccountabilityBachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) or related field.Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience in construction or contracting companies.Strong understanding of construction materials, specifications, and project cycles.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficient in procurement software (ERP systems such as SAP, etc.).Knowledge of local and international markets and vendors.Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.Academic QualificationBachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical EngineeringWork Experience5 to 10 Years Technical / Functional Competencies Inventory and Supplies Audits Supplier Relationship Management Supply Chain Best Practices#J-18808-Ljbffr
